Scooter Stalls India A Test; Jurel's 99 Steals Show
A rogue scooter rider briefly halted India A's unofficial Test against New Zealand A in Christchurch. Amidst the unusual interruption, Dhruv Jurel crafted a magnificent unbeaten 99.
The Story
Cricket matches have seen their share of odd interruptions, but this one was unique. During the ongoing unofficial Test between India A and New Zealand A in Christchurch, play stopped when a man on a scooter rode onto the pitch. The rider, for unknown reasons, cruised across the middle of the ground, amusing players and officials.
The unusual interlude did little to deter Dhruv Jurel. The young wicketkeeper-batsman was in stellar form, remaining unbeaten on a superb 99. His knock anchored India A's recovery and provided a significant highlight in their innings.
